The Soulkeeper
The Soulkeeper was medieval fantasy total conversion multiplayer mod for Unreal Tournament 2004 using Unreal engine 2. The game featured a wide range of characters with different abilities and playstyles, 1st and 3rd person combat, 3 separate factions, dragon and horse riding, siege vehicles, mission based team versus multiplayer levels and real-time story cinematics.
The combat systems Michael helped to design and develop featured several types of melee weapons (including daggers, swords, axes, hammers, chains and horseback), archery (hand-drawn bows and crossbows), magic (using a symbol drawing system) and flying fire breathing dragons.
Michael was responsible for leading the art team and contributed to 3D character art, rigging, animation, game design and creating several real-time story cinematics for the project.
